We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Occupational Therapist in training. As a member of the St. Augustinus Gruppe, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Role
This three-year comprehensive training program will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a qualified Occupational Therapist. You will have the opportunity to work in various specialized areas, including Neurology, Psychiatry, and Pediatrics, and will be supported by experienced mentors throughout your training.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with disabilities in achieving independence and promoting their overall well-being
- Work in a team environment to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and best practices in occupational therapy
Requirements
- Completion of Middle School Diploma or equivalent
- Alternative qualifications: ten years of school education, completion of a two-year vocational training program with Middle School Diploma, or equivalent
- Proof of a four-week internship in Internal Medicine or Geriatrics
- Successful entry test at the Health Professions Academy
- Qualities: openness, empathy, interest in human anatomy, dedication to healthcare

We are part of the St. Augustinus Gruppe, one of the largest employers in the Lower Rhine region with around 6500 employees from 68 nations. Our group includes hospitals, psychiatric clinics, health centers, a rehabilitation clinic, facilities for seniors and people with disabilities, a hospice, and two training academies. Our Health Professions Academy annually trains approximately 200 students in theoretical and practical physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
