Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled C++ Programmer to join our team at THQ Nordic and contribute to the development of current and future RTS game projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for providing high-level direction, helping to organize time and priorities, and be willing to get their hands dirty with day-to-day development.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Designers, Producers, Artists, and the Audio team, to bring our vision of the game to life and exceed expectations.
  • Support the development of Art and Gameplay features and create sustainable workflows that drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Understand and articulate the trade-offs between technical and design choices, and solve for the best player experience.
  • Work with production staff and other leads to establish engineering tasks and subsequent schedule requirements across multiple disciplines of programming and technology.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming skills in C++ with a proven track record of delivering high-quality code.
  • Experience with proprietary game engines and a deep understanding of PC and Console development best practices.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in data-oriented design and a passion for real-time strategy and/or roleplaying games.
  • Previous leadership/mentorship experience or leadership interest and potential.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and a positive attitude.
