Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Exploration Geophysicist to join our German Geosciences team. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating, interpreting, and assessing subsurface data to develop a comprehensive knowledge of our German portfolio and mature growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality subsurface geophysical evaluations through subsurface data integration and analysis.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of relevant German exploration licenses to identify new opportunities and define maturation plans.
- Conduct detailed prospect analysis, volumetrics, uncertainty, and risk assessments.
- Provide support to production assets and generate development opportunities as required.
- Recommend drilling opportunities while ensuring their risk profile aligns with company strategy.
- Drive the maturation of drilling proposals, including documentation, monitoring of operations, and analyzing results.
- Participate in technical assurance reviews and partner meetings.
- Manage external projects or consultants as required, including seismic processing and acquisition.
- Review, evaluate, and bid for farm-in or business development opportunities in Europe.
- Assess open acreage and recommend applying for new exploration licenses.
Requirements
- Geoscience graduates with a Master's degree.
- High technical proficiency in geology with 10+ years of industry experience.
- Strong background in exploration required, with experience in development projects.
- Experience in seismic processing, acquisition, and reservoir characterization (AVO/QI).
- Proficiency in English is required, with knowledge of German a strong plus.
- International experience preferred, with experience of German basins.
- A strong team player, good communicator, self-confident, and able to take the initiative and show a creative approach.
