We're seeking a Research Operations Manager to play a key role in shaping the next generation of gaming experiences. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for planning, setting up, and running playtests with our in-house software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Custom Playtest Management & Ownership: Oversee the end-to-end process of remote mobile playtesting for custom projects, ensuring efficient planning, execution, and delivery.
- Automated Playtest Monitoring & Support: Actively monitor the performance of automated playtests, addressing issues with urgency and attention-to-detail to ensure on-time delivery of results.
- Proactive Client Consultation: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, offering timely and effective communication through email and Zoom. Provide tailored support for each playtest, ensuring client needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
- Exceptional Team Support: Communicate actively with our team of Research Operations Managers to manage playtests, answer questions from teammates and other departments, and find on-the-fly solutions to playtesting issues.
- Cross-Platform Collaboration: Use in-house and external software programs to facilitate playtesting and client communication, including Asana, Front, Slack, Heroku, and our own Player Insights Platform.
Requirements:
- Professional experience: 3+ years of experience in the gaming industry, working closely with research or development. Alternatively, similar experience in SaaS platforms.
- Strong English skills: Native spoken and written English skills and comfort conversing in English with colleagues and clients.
- Customer-focused: Ability to respond quickly to client needs and communicate closely with customers in previous roles.
- Self-organized: Strong organizational skills, proven time management abilities, and excitement to manage multiple projects and tasks with short deadlines.
- Self-starter: Pride in the quality of work, strong bias to action, and ownership of projects managed.
- Technically-minded: Ability to quickly learn and apply complex software, including mastering our custom playtesting software and navigating a suite of tools.
