Director of Publisher Partnerships

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Publisher Relations - Spain to join our team at Audible. As a key member of our content acquisition team, you will be responsible for overseeing publisher relationships, negotiations, and catalogue performance for our audiobook vendors in Spain and other existing and new marketplaces.

• Lead regional teams in managing publisher relationships, negotiating deal terms, and driving agreements for audiobook vendors across different markets.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with publishing partners, impacting business decisions and leading a team of Publisher Relation managers and coordinators.
• Identify and investigate new partnership opportunities, developing unique and ambitious deal structures to meet strategic goals and grow Audible's content offerings.
• Serve as the team's subject matter expert on intellectual property licensing with publishers, leveraging analysis of key business drivers, trends, and performance indicators to improve the quality and quantity of our catalogues.
• Communicate financial analysis, strategic perspective, and recommendations to executives through written reports and presentation materials.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to develop deal strategy, formulate key terms, and strategize and plan for complex agreements and negotiations with global publishing vendors.

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a law degree (LLB level) and 10+ years of relevant experience in international intellectual property rights licensing businesses. You should have a proven track record of conducting complex, high-profile negotiations, people management experience in cross-functional teams, and negotiation experience in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
