Job Overview
DSV is seeking a skilled Freight Forwarder Long Distances Traffic / Speditionskaufmann / Disponent to join our team at our Kornwestheim location. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and ensuring timely delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the disposition of shipments in the long-distance transportation sector
- Procure charter trucks, manage transportation, and calculate freight costs
- Negotiate prices with transportation providers and manage costs
- Manage time windows and coordinate with customers
- Develop and present customer offers
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation for freight claims
- Handle customer complaints and issues related to charter shipments
Requirements
- Completed education in logistics or a related field
- Experience with the DINAS program is an asset
- Proficiency in English language skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
