Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at E. Breuninger GmbH & Co. As a key member of our data analytics department, you will be responsible for extracting, cleansing, transforming, and integrating data from multiple sources to provide a reliable basis for analysis and modeling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of statistical models and machine learning algorithms to provide the basis for complex business decisions
  • Analyze data sets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations
  • Presenting complex analytical results to stakeholders and decision makers
  • Support extraction, cleansing, transformation, and integration of data from multiple sources
  • Documentation and further development of existing data processes
  • Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs

Qualifications

  • Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics, economics, psychology, social sciences, or a comparable degree
  • Basic understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines
  • Analytical mindset and enjoyment of solving complex data problems
  • First experience with databases and SQL and knowledge of a programming language (e.g. Python or R)
  • Knowledge of data processing tools (e.g. DBT, Dataform) as an advantage
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) as an advantage
