We offer a competitive salary range of €80,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

R&D Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate third-party funded projects in the fields of optoelectronics and photonics
  • Apply for funding from national and international funding institutions
  • Develop and implement project plans, including time and resource planning
  • Manage and monitor project progress and ensure budget compliance
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including research institutions, industry partners, and funding agencies
  • Prepare reports and presentations for funding agencies and project partners
  • Ensure compliance with funding conditions and regulations
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and further development of the third-party funded projects
  • Ensure the results and insights of funded projects are available to the technical departments
  • Close collaboration with marketing department to ensure a dissemination of the project results and increasing the general visibility of the company
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed degree in a technical or scientific field, preferably in optoelectronics, photonics, or related disciplines
  • Several years of experience in managing and coordinating third-party funded projects (desirable in the environment of an industrial company)
  • In-depth knowledge of applying for and managing funding
  • Experience in collaborating with research institutions and industry partners
  • Strong project management skills, including time and budget management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English
  • Team player with high initiative and a structured working approach
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work in teams
  • Willingness to engage in short international travel as required (up to 30%)
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic R&D environment
  • Highly organized and proactive work ethic with close attention to detail
