We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Engineer to join our team at CBRE GWS IFM Industrie GmbH. As an ICT Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive ICT data center-related hardware and cabling tasks for Green Mountain on behalf of CBRE.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy and support data center infrastructures
- Maintain and react to established monitoring and ticketing systems
- Support the team in isolating and resolving ICT service issues
- Work collaboratively with other in-house technicians and customers as needed
- Assist CBRE and customers with ICT projects to better support and manage the data center
- Assist with data center infrastructure growth projects and external teams for the installation of new data center equipment
- Maintain data hall security within the data center environment
- Comply with health and safety within the data center environment
- Escort and supervise third-party vendors within the data center
- Good mental and physical ability to complete rack and stack of various IT hardware
- Raise, manage, and close service tickets
- Install and decommission redundant equipment and cabling
- Work with copper and fiber networks, including cable types and testing
- Create, maintain, and update ICT documentation as required
- Comply with risk management in the data center environment
- Complete asset management and ICT audit tasks as needed
- Comply with information security standards
- Assist with other works related to the data center as needed
- Ensure all work areas and the general data center are clean and tidy when possible
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced ICT Engineer with a strong background in data center operations and maintenance. You should have good knowledge of ICT hardware equipment installation, fiber and copper data cabling, and the installation of them.
You should be able to work both independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment. You should be proactive, hands-on, experienced, diligent, passionate, and willing to help. Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.
You should be self-motivated, approachable, adaptable, and customer-oriented. Supporting customers in an IT managed service environment is essential. ICT or data center certification is highly desirable but not a requirement.
