About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Specialist to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our IT Security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security systems and events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Investigate and report security incidents, including potential cyber attacks and spam/phishing attacks.
- Research and categorize threats in areas such as network, storage, cloud, and email, and identify and close gateways and vulnerabilities.
- Determine the causes of attacks and support the restoration of services, while continuously monitoring IT systems for intrusions or irregular behavior.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements in the context of IT security.
Requirements
- Professional experience in IT security, particularly in the development of IT security architectures.
- Expert knowledge of innovative IT security technologies and processes.
- Experience with enterprise networks and cloud environments, as well as the implementation and operation of complex network and security solutions.
- Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure in areas such as vulnerability management, penetration testing, operating systems, and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in German and English.
- Ability to travel occasionally, approximately once or twice a year.
- Strong communication skills, customer orientation, and interest in continuous training and further education.
