Ground Segment System Engineer

Job Description

As a member of our team at CS GROUP, you will be responsible for providing services to EUMETSAT. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Porting selected requirements from documents to electronic media;
  • Updating requirements in electronic repositories and generating documents for formal signature processes;
  • Maintaining the requirement baseline at System and Ground Segment levels for operational missions;
  • Ensuring traceability of Ground Segment requirements for operational missions;
  • Analyzing requirements to identify obsolete or outdated ones;
  • Contributing to formalizing modifications in the requirement baseline;
  • Generating requirements at Ground Segment levels for new missions;
  • Ensuring traceability of Ground Segment requirements for new missions.
Qualifications

You will require:

  • At least 3 years' experience in Systems Engineering and IV&V related activities for a major element of a ground segment for earth observation missions;
  • Knowledge of space and ground system engineering processes and system life-cycles;
  • Experience in change control procedures and writing technical requirements;
  • Definition, management, and traceability of requirements structure using dedicated tools;
  • Experience in interface management and definition, including familiarity with mechanisms and tools for detailed interface definition;
  • Experience with formal testing, including preparation of test procedures and TRRs/TRBs;
  • Experience in formal verification control processes and maintenance of VCDs;
  • Use of modelling and design languages for System Engineering and tools in support of architectural design activities;
  • Experience in operational environments under strict configuration management rules;
  • Experience in maintenance of ground system and associated anomaly management process;
  • Experience with Data Processing systems for earth observation missions;
  • Experience with Satellite Mission Control systems for earth observation missions.
