About the Role:

We are seeking an IT Cybersecurity Expert to join our Global Product Cybersecurity team. As a key member of this team, you will collaborate closely with the Vulnerability Manager and other teams to identify and prioritize threats and vulnerabilities in our product environment. Your goal will be to develop solutions that secure our enterprise across all HARMAN lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive analysis, rating, and confirmation of vulnerabilities reported by external researchers and internal teams
  • Develop VM-related applications and scripts, as well as provide Software Quality Assurance
  • Collaborate with the Harman global Vulnerability Management team to ensure smooth operations
  • Drive peripheral application and infrastructure patching tasks on the vulnerability remediation process
  • Mentor less experienced team members in tasks

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field; at least 5 years of practical experience in a cybersecurity role
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a technical cybersecurity position within corporate, military, or law enforcement
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python, bash, Ruby)
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards, risks, and preventative strategies
  • Strong influence in teamwork, promotes a knowledge-sharing and excellence-driven culture
