We are seeking a highly skilled Operating Costs Accountant to join our team at MVGM, a rapidly growing international Property Management company with Dutch roots. With over 400 employees in Germany and a total of employees in Europe, we focus on becoming the European leader in property management from over 50 locations.
The ideal candidate will have a commercial education in the real estate sector and experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of operating cost law. They will be responsible for preparing operating and heating cost statements for complex residential and commercial properties, as well as recording and verifying lease agreements and the recoverability of individual items in close coordination with Property Management.
The Operating Costs Accountant will be responsible for:
- Independent preparation of operating and heating cost statements for complex residential and commercial properties
- Recording and verification of lease agreements and the recoverability of individual items in close coordination with Property Management
- Responsibility for a cost allocation based on cause and effect
- Processing and responding to inquiries regarding operating and heating cost statements and incoming objections
- Maintenance of billing-relevant master data in various management systems
- Creation of heating cost and user data for metering service companies
- Verification of incoming invoices for factual and legal correctness
- Creation of seller and key date statements in the event of changes in ownership or administration
The successful candidate will have:
- Commercial education in the real estate sector (e.g. training as a real estate management assistant)
- Accounting experience and knowledge of operating cost law
- Ideally, basic knowledge of SAP, Yardi, IMS, REALAX, and Relion
- Knowledge of the iX-Haus system desirable
- Fluent German language skills required, English language skills desirable
