About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at inovex GmbH. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in helping our clients from various industries to make their data usable.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with your agile, cross-functional project team to design and implement scalable, robust, and maintainable data architectures.
  • Working closely with our clients to understand their technical requirements and provide expert advice on data-driven solutions.
  • Designing and implementing data platforms, data processing pipelines, and data services as high-performance, distributed systems in the cloud, on-premise, or hybrid environments.
  • Integrating data/ETL pipelines and deploying machine learning models to provide end-to-end solutions within existing IT systems.

We use a variety of technologies in our projects, including:

  • Python, SQL, Java
  • Relational and NoSQL databases
  • Flask or FastAPI
  • Databricks, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, BigQuery or Snowflake
  • AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Docker, Kubernetes

Requirements
  • You have a degree in a technical field or a related field and have gained initial professional experience.
  • You have a strong understanding of data architectures and data modeling, as well as experience with cloud technologies.
  • You are proficient in multiple programming languages, including Python, SQL, and Java.
  • You have excellent communication skills and a strong command of German (C1 level) and English.
  • You are a team player with a strong sense of collaboration and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
