Your Role: As a Quality Project Engineer, you will manage the product and process maturity of our projects. This involves providing transparency on the level of maturity and critical paths in project timelines for all relevant project members. In case of deviations, you will define and implement appropriate actions. You will collaborate closely with Programme Management and Engineering on timeline, milestones, and product reviews, as well as with business partners in Engineering, Operations, Procurement, SCM, SQE, and Commercial, and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Quality knowledge for the development of a product development process that represents the company's and product's needs.
- Ensure product quality criteria in project phases.
- Responsibility for quality risk management in projects.
- Definition and alignment of product standards to achieve Quality KPIs in projects.
- Plan, organize, and conduct product/quality reviews of new projects, define and review measures in case of deviation.
- Create transparency of critical paths in overall timelines (Engineering, operations, procurement, logistics, ...) of new product projects, define measures to hit project milestones.
- Escalation of main quality risks in new product projects to line manager.
- Initiate design to quality, risk, and maturity measures to ensure product quality and safeguard Quality KPIs.
- Conduct quality assessments for product and process topics during project phases, represent quality and product standards in new product projects.
- Coordination of Quality approval and release.
- Create, align, and provide maturity reports to management on a regular basis.
Requirements:
- Technical degree in engineering or similar studies.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Quality Management and in the Automotive Industry, especially in new product projects.
- Professional experience in launch process and/or product development processes in the Automotive Industry.
- Ability to create new quality standards and project KPIs.
- High technical understanding in the Automotive Industry.
- High empathy and very good communication skills, motivation skills, and enthusiastic capacity – ability to adapt to diverse people and situations.
- High organizational skills and result orientation.
- Assertiveness, diplomacy, moderation skills.
- Good analytical thinking.
- Pragmatism and a good understanding of lean principles.
- Very good English skills.
- Willingness to travel for business trips.
