About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer / Commissioning Specialist to join our team at Leadec in Heilbronn. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and commissioning of complex automation systems in the automotive and other industries.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Expertise: Develop and implement comprehensive automation solutions, including programming and commissioning of industrial control systems, using Siemens S7/STEP 7, WinCC, and TIA Portal.
  • System Integration: Integrate various industrial automation systems, including electrical drives, fieldbus systems, and measurement technology applications.
  • Commissioning and Testing: Conduct thorough commissioning and testing of automation systems to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance.
  • Service and Maintenance: Provide on-site service and maintenance support for existing automation systems, including calibration and repair of equipment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production staff, to ensure smooth system integration and optimal system performance.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain accurate documentation of automation systems and provide training to production staff on system operation and maintenance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Electrotechnical Background: A successful completion of an electrotechnical apprenticeship or equivalent education.
  • Automation Experience: First-hand experience in industrial automation, including programming, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Siemens S7/STEP 7, WinCC, and TIA Portal, as well as electrical drive technology and fieldbus systems.
  • Language Skills: Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken, with good English language skills desirable.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong team orientation, self-motivation, and a structured approach to work.
