Aerospace Operations Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Aerospace Operations Director to oversee all aspects of the German SFZD program. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as extensive knowledge of military flight and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the German SFZD program, ensuring successful delivery and profitability.
• Coordinate activities related to the Contract scope and develop specific courses of action to achieve program goals.
• Supervise Flight Ops, optimizing schedules and ensuring compliance with flight and duty time regulations.
• Oversee Maintenance functions to ensure SFZD fleet readiness, working closely with the Director of Maintenance (or Maintenance Manager).
• Supervise pilots, ensuring adherence to Top Aces and DND flying regulations/standards.
• Manage qualifications of Ops Coord personnel and maintain a current operations library.
• Support Flight Safety and Quality Management Systems.
• Participate in activities associated with winning future contracts.

Requirements

This role requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering or business, with at least 10 years in military flight and maintenance operations. You must also have:

• A minimum of 5 years of Operational supervisor experience in German Armed Force aviation-related positions.
• At least 3 years of experience as a program/project manager within the last 10 years.
• Knowledge of Program Management, Supervision of Flight Operations, and Aircraft Maintenance.
• Fluency in German/English on Business level.

Working Conditions

Some travel is required for this role.

Salary Estimate

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
