We are seeking a skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join our team at Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH. As a key member of our PartyRock team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks and libraries.

The ideal candidate will have experience with common frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node, as well as experience using JavaScript frameworks and the latest Web Standards. Additionally, they will have a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.

As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will have the opportunity to work with the latest frontend frameworks, libraries, and tools, staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving web ecosystem. You will also collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to create cohesive and delightful user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Frontend Development: Guide the design, implementation, and optimization of responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks and libraries.
  • Establish Frontend Architecture: Drive the development of reusable and modular UI components, adhering to best practices and design systems.
  • Performance and Quality Excellence: Ensure optimal performance by implementing efficient rendering techniques, code splitting, and other performance optimization strategies. Contribute to establishing and maintaining high-quality standards for the frontend codebase through testing, code reviews, and best practices.
  • Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into seamless user experiences. Share knowledge across the organization through tech talks and mentoring other frontend developers.

Requirements:

  • Experience with common frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks and the latest Web Standards.
  • Experience in computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with WASM, WebGPU.
  • Experience building reusable UX components or libraries.
  • Master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
