About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Design Engineer to join our team at 2140 K-T GMBH. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the manufacturability and reliability of our high-tech products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our Design Engineering team to develop and implement new product designs that meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on design for manufacturability and reliability.
  • Analyze technical manufacturing and field issues using the 8D method and present solutions to our field support team and management.
  • Provide technical support and analysis for field escalations and perform First Article qualifications for parts and obsolescence components.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize manufacturing cycle time and quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain process and equipment work instructions, drawings, and other production documents.
  • Work with our Quality and Purchasing departments to resolve component/part quality problems and drive supplier quality improvements and cost reductions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of complex electro-opto-mechanical assemblies and their relationship to system performance.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to read technical drawings and use precision testing and measuring instruments.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • A self-driven individual with a keen technical mind, positive attitude, and strong team player skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% internationally.
