Job Description
This role involves overseeing the complete lifecycle management of dry etching equipment, including technical assessment, selection, installation, phase-in, integration, tuning, and maintenance. The successful candidate will also be responsible for building and managing a team focused on dry etching equipment, enhancing team structure and fostering growth in technological competitiveness.
Responsibilities
- Technical Assessment: Conduct thorough technical assessments of dry etching equipment to identify its capabilities and limitations.
- Equipment Selection: Collaborate with stakeholders to select the most suitable dry etching equipment for our manufacturing process.
- Installation and Phase-In: Oversee the installation and phase-in of new dry etching equipment, ensuring seamless integration into our production line.
- Tuning and Maintenance: Perform regular tuning and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of the dry etching equipment.
- Team Management: Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team focused on dry etching equipment, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Strategic Planning: Provide strategic insights and planning for manufacturing equipment, staying aligned with industry trends and preparing for key technological advancements.
- Equipment Upgrades: Manage equipment upgrades, modifications, and alternative sourcing to improve overall efficiency, stability, and throughput.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field within the semiconductor industry.
- More than 12 years of experience in the introduction or development of semiconductor dry etching equipment, with hands-on experience in SiC product introduction or production required.
- Proven success in mass production within leading industry factories is highly advantageous.
- An in-depth understanding of dry etching processes and equipment, including aluminum metal, aluminum nitride, deep silicon (DRIE/TSV), polysilicon, silicon dioxide, and silicon nitride.
- Familiarity with major dry etching equipment suppliers and a solid grasp of equipment design architecture.
- The ability to independently transform and improve equipment, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with online machines and products.
- Experience in training new employees, leading teams, and managing daily technical tasks is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in German and/or Chinese is a plus.
