Your Responsibilities
- Analyse and forecast the Central European short-term and forward power markets.
- Take responsibility for pan-European fundamental forward price modelling with a focus on Central Western Europe and related analytical tools and services.
- Proactively conduct ad-hoc market analyses, identifying and highlighting trends, market and regulatory developments, and contribute to cross-commodity price forecasting.
- Support operational trading and optimization, create new business ideas to support commercial success.
- Drive and manage further developments, improvements, and automation for the power market analysis with emphasis on the forward markets.
- Confidently present and communicate results related to the European Power markets to various stakeholders within Uniper.
Your Profile
- Excellent education in the field of Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or similar.
- Relevant experience in the field of energy market analysis, fundamental power market modelling, and in the energy trading environment.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, data handling, PowerBI, and programming skills (Python, R, VBA, etc.) required. First experiences with collaborative software development platforms (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.) beneficial.
- Strong orientation on results, commercial focus, and proactive attitude. Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively work in an international and diverse environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team and under time pressure, ability to be focused in changing environments and adapt to stakeholder requirements.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) required, knowledge of additional languages a plus.
