Telecommunications Specialist

Bosch Building Technologies is seeking a skilled Telephony Expert to join our team. As a Telephony Expert, you will be responsible for assessing the telecommunication needs and requirements of the organisation and designing telephone systems based on the business requirements and integrated into the overall IT infrastructure architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing telecommunication needs and requirements
• Designing telephone systems
• Planning system architecture, call routing, and redundancy measures
• Managing the integration of telephony systems with other communication platforms
• Implementing QoS mechanisms to prioritise voice traffic in networks
• Identifying and troubleshooting telephony-related issues
• Working with telecoms vendors and service providers to procure equipment and software licences
• Ensuring compliance with telecoms regulations, industry standards, and data protection laws

Requirements:

• Completed university studies in telecommunications engineering or a comparable subject
• Several years of professional experience in the telecommunications industry
• Knowledge of telecommunications regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices
• Knowledge of telephone systems, including traditional landline systems, VoIP, PBX, and SIP trunking
• Knowledge of designing, configuring, and troubleshooting voice network infrastructure components
• Knowledge of unified communications platforms that integrate voice, video, messaging, and collaboration tools
• Knowledge of telephony security best practices
