Technical Marketing Specialist

The Technical Marketing Specialist for Prysmian Group's datacom cable products will create technical content and sales collateral, provide sales enablement tools, and execute marketing campaigns. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, creativity, strategic thinking, and a customer-centric approach.

Nature & Scope

The Technical Marketing Specialist will report directly to the Global Marketing Manager, indicating that this role is a key part of the global marketing team. This reporting structure suggests that the role will have a global scope, and the individual may be involved in marketing initiatives and strategies across different regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop technical content such as product datasheets, white papers, and application notes that effectively communicate the features and benefits of our datacom cable products.
  • Create sales collateral, including presentations, brochures, and other materials that help communicate the product information and value proposition of the datacom portfolio.
  • Develop sales enablement and marketing tools to support Sales processes.
  • Work closely with the product management team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that enhance visibility and promote products effectively.
  • Exhibit creativity in conducting product demonstrations at trade shows, webinars, and customer meetings.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, and other teams to align campaign development with business strategy and customer needs.
  • Prepare and present reports on campaign performance, market trends, and competitors.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new opportunities for product innovation and competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • Technical background permitting the understanding and applications of communications products.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology platforms, such as CRMs, marketing automation tools, and social media management software.
  • Project management skills, complemented by excellent problem-solving abilities, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to think outside or beyond conventional marketing ideas.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MS Project, Access.
  • Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with Product Managers and the Sales team.

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience related to technical products is required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in wire and cable manufacturing or related product field preferred.
  • Experience with digital communication and/or product information management (PIM) is necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a technical marketing role, preferably in related manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and applications of complex products.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in market research and data analysis.
