Test Engineer - CDI

Pascal, Swapnil and Navajeevan – our testing team – guarantee the quality of VBS' software applications. Their role is not just about testing, it is about advocating for the user, having a fresh set of eyes and a different perspective on data, design and priorities.

You will take an active part in the projects validation cycle, including specification analysis, risk identification, user stories, tests, validation, quality control. You will also manage, prioritize and execute test activities based on the possibility and impact of risks in the software applications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Validate software applications and ensure they meet quality standards
  • Identify and manage risks associated with software development
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and improve software quality
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technology trends and best practices in software testing

Requirements:

  • Testing experience (system, integration, regression, automation and user acceptance testing)
  • Relevant IT training and good understanding of software development and project life cycle
  • Knowledge of several programming and scripting languages (Perl, Shell, Groovy, Java, JavaScript, ...)
  • Good understanding of API on both application usage and test automation
  • Test methodology know-how such as TMap or STBoX
  • Experience with bug/defect tracking systems (e.g. JIRA)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Organised, rigorous, attention to details, structured
  • Flexible, multi-tasker, ability to handle multiple projects/changes and their complex demands
  • Fluent written and spoken English and/or French
