Transforming Cloud Infrastructure

SAP is seeking a highly skilled Associate Development Architect to design and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions that support our lifecycle objectives. This role demands a deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Linux system administration, and KVM virtualization. Proficiency in Python, Go, Ansible, or similar languages is essential for automation and scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional DevOps teams to assess requirements, design scalable and secure cloud architectures, and operate the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure.
  • Join the on-call rotation, sharing responsibilities with the rest of the PlusOne team to ensure continuous support coverage and demonstrate commitment to the role.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues in virtualized environments, with a strong understanding of file systems, kernel tuning, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with container technologies and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, as well as skills in tuning and optimizing both the host and guest systems for optimal performance.
  • Knowledge of benchmarking tools and techniques to measure and improve performance, with fluency in English (spoken and written), and German as a plus.

The GCS PlusOne Compute Platform Engineering Unit is a globally diverse and innovative team running Converged Cloud, a state-of-the-art private cloud solution.
