Job Title: Head of Project Delivery Europe

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our project management teams across multiple regions in Europe. As Head of Project Delivery, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, driving operational excellence, and advancing practices and ways of working.

About the Role

The Project Delivery team is responsible for Avaloq's project business across Europe. Our team consists of experienced Project Managers and Project Management Office professionals who successfully implement customer projects across the entire process chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the project delivery function across multiple regions in the Business Area 'Region Europe'
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Develop and manage senior and key client relationships in the context of project deliveries
  • Develop and implement best practices in project management methodologies and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives with business goals
  • Mentor and develop project managers and teams to enhance performance and professional growth
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and expectations
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor and report on project performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of proven experience in software project management, ideally in the financial services sector
  • Excellent client management and development skills
  • Multiple years of experience in leading teams and motivating colleagues
  • Outstanding structuring, negotiation, and problem-solving skills paired with strong technical expertise
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Hands-on mentality, healthy pragmatism, and customer orientation, able to balance strategy and operations
  • Excellent business understanding and high affinity for digital solutions in the financial services industry
  • Fluent in English; additional EU languages are a plus
