Job Opportunity: Network Engineer (all genders) Security

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Tabel GmbH in the Technik/Betrieb division. As a key member of our IT-Security sector, you will play a crucial role in the planning and operational management of our network infrastructure.

About the Role

• Design, implement, and maintain the underlying security and network infrastructure, including VPN gateways, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Support the implementation of protective measures in case of a cyber attack.
• Collaborate with the 2nd-level support team to resolve network and IT Security issues.
• Provide consultation and support to other departments in the implementation of IT projects related to network communication and security.
• Develop and implement new network technologies and innovative IT solutions to optimize and automate our network and security infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call duty to ensure 24/7 network availability.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge and experience with firewalls and load balancers.
• Understanding of common signaling and transmission protocols of IP networks.
• Good knowledge of L3 network technologies such as routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), policy-based routing, QoS, L3-MPLS.
• Proficiency in Linux and scripting.
• Strong analytical, planning, and conceptual skills.
• Team player with eagerness to learn and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and goal-oriented.
• Good command of English and German in both written and verbal communication.
