Senior Software Engineer for Embedded Systems

About the Role

We are expanding our Engineering Team at Instagrid, and we're looking for a talented Senior Engineer Embedded Controls to join our Electronics Hardware and Embedded Software team.

As a Senior Engineer Embedded Controls, you will work on developing real-time algorithms that shape the cutting-edge performance of our devices. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing software architectures that combine real-time and non-real-time structures
  • Deriving performance specifications for the real-time parts from overall product requirements
  • Implementing and validating control loops and signal processing structures
  • Writing high-quality code and ensuring quality through regular peer reviews, unit & integration tests, and documentation
  • Sharing your knowledge with other colleagues as part of your job

Requirements

You have a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable education

You have several years of experience as an embedded software developer in various positions concerned with signal processing and/or control loops

You have excellent coding skills in C++, including good API design and object-oriented programming, C, and ARM-Assembler

You have a good understanding of the physical effects caused by voltage, current, temperature, etc.

You enjoy working at the interface between analog and digital domains

You know how to use signal processing and control loops to achieve outstanding overall device performance
