Reinsurance Analyst

The Reinsurance Analyst will play a key part in advancing our future reinsurance strategy, working closely with the cross-functional team to define reinsurance needs and develop market-leading reinsurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Support the team in defining reinsurance needs and developing market-leading reinsurance solutions
- Coordinate data collection and build compelling reinsurance submissions
- Benchmark offers to market prices and your own underwriting results
- Develop contracts to ensure that reinsurance coverage is aligned with our insurance offerings
- Ensure high-quality data in our admin and underwriting systems and feed other functions (Finance, Risk Management) with required information
- Help the team to define and maintain a compelling and clear reinsurance strategy & vision which protects our balance sheet and enables the growth of the incoming (re-)insurance portfolio
- Supervise and analyse trends in the reinsurance market and provide market updates to senior management
- Interact and collaborate with reinsurers and brokers
- Work in interdisciplinary teams (Products, Regional Underwriting, Risk Management, Legal, Capital & Liquidity Management, Finance and Operations) on projects and transactions
We are a small but growing team committed to thriving and succeeding in the task of advancing our reinsurance buying capabilities. We are responsible for all reinsurance aspects from strategy to placement and combine structuring, pricing, underwriting, and external marketing in our team.
About YouWe are open to junior candidates and if you come with first experience, your level of seniority will be determined during the recruitment process.
- Minimum of bachelor's degree with emphasis in Mathematics, Natural Science, Finance, Economics or similar analytical field
- Experience in underwriting, actuarial or cat modelling
- Excellent digital literacy with proven ability to analyse large data sets
- Ability to interpret legal documents and translate coverage concepts into contract wording
- Broad strategic problem solver with an open mind for innovation and strong focus on execution
- Ability to operate in a rapidly developing business environment with strong ability to adapt to new circumstances with ease and speed
- Good teammate with staying power, operational readiness, and a passion to perform
- Proficient in English and German is a big plus
