Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead our German business's accounting and finance operations. As Head of Financial Operations and Compliance, you will oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and budget tracking. Your expertise will also guide the implementation of new business streams and processes, ensuring seamless integration with other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the accounting and finance operations of our German business, ensuring compliance with German regulations;
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and budget tracking, providing key insights to inform business decisions;
  • Lead the preparation of annual statutory financial statements (HGB) for German entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
  • Collaborate with the controlling team and CFO to develop coherent P&L, liquidity, and balance sheet plans;
  • Lead and mentor a team of 2 people, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence;
  • Report to our Director of Finance, providing regular updates on financial performance and progress.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a strong technical background;
  • Proven track record of leading and developing teams, with a focus on continuous improvement;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prepare financial reports and statements;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to delegate and manage the work of others;
  • Very good German and English language skills, with an appreciative communication style.
