Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Steelcase. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for planning, installing, and monitoring production and assembly lines.

Main Responsibilities:

• Project planning and execution for production and assembly lines
• Single point of contact for national and international projects in industrial engineering
• Launch of packaging concepts and implementation of test procedures for validation
• Technical planning and support for new product launches and material introductions
• Coordinating the launch of new products into the production process
• Planning and implementing measures for continuous improvement
• Responsibility for improving ergonomics and safety in the workplace
• Introduction of quality assurance measures, such as poka-yoke process controls
• Documentation of production processes, including workplace descriptions and layout planning
• Responsibility for work preparation, including target time determination
• Preparation of calculations to determine product costs

Requirements:

• Strong communication and social skills
• Performance-oriented, independent, structured, and analytical work style
• Ability to organize and manage time and resources to achieve results
• Flexibility, commitment, and ability to work in a team

Qualifications:

• Completed university degree in engineering with a focus on production technology, wood technology, or a comparable degree
• Experience in packaging and assembly processes and the development and implementation of PFMEAS would be an advantage
• Basic certificate of the REFA organization
• Experience in working with SAP or a similar MRP system would be an advantage
• Experience in calculating product costs
• Sound knowledge of using a CAD program
• Confident handling of common MS Office packages
• Business fluent German and English language skills
