Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global R&D Director to lead our Sensing & Control team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, managing and further developing the R&D global team, including support of innovation processes, investments and alignment with the business strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership Role: Coordinate and manage the R&D global team to achieve business objectives.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement standardized development structure and processes (APQP) to ensure efficient and effective R&D operations.
- Market Analysis: Analyze global market trends and competitive developments to support strategic decisions.
- Resource Planning: Responsible for R&D strategy, resource planning and overarching multi-project management.
- Process Optimization: Drive the optimization and further expansion of global structures and processes, ensuring that local processes, procedures and tools are in line with global standards.
- Project Management: Monitor research and development project progress for completion on time.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets and forecast costs to ensure alignment with company targets.
- Intercompany Development: Develop, coordinate and present strategic technology/product/system roadmaps across the organization.
- Master's Degree: Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Management Experience: Several years of management experience in R&D within the field of industrial electronic systems.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of R&D, material and manufacturing processes, innovation and projects in an industrial environment.
- Project Management: Experience in multi-project management, financial/cost management and new business opportunity identification.
- Technical Skills: Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Language Skills: Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel a minimum of 50% internationally.
