Job Description:

As a specialist in land transportation, you will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary management of the operational team in the area of national and international general cargo in a cooperation network. Your tasks will include the area of national and international network transports with permanent optimization approaches, as well as the ongoing development and improvement of processes as part of our continuous improvement process concept.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the ongoing development and improvement of processes as part of our continuous improvement process concept.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring and optimizing the processes within the general cargo system transports at the location to guarantee an excellent quality standard while maintaining profitability.
  • You will support the training of new employees and the development of the existing team.
  • You will be in close communication with and between the local and regional interfaces, in particular with the Sales, Customer Service and Administration departments.
  • You will be involved in networking with national and international partners.
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining cooperation with central Head Office departments.

Your Profile:
  • You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship and have several years of professional experience.
  • You have an additional qualification in logistics or business administration.
  • You have experience in managing operational processes using key performance indicator systems.
  • You have several years of professional experience in general cargo system transportation and good knowledge of general cargo processes and corresponding QM systems (e.g. DIN ISO 9XXX, IFS).
  • You have already gained experience in the area of employee management.
  • You have gained knowledge of customs/third countries.
  • You remain calm even during periods of high stress and have good communication skills.
  • You have good written and spoken English and good IT skills in TMS.
