We are seeking a highly qualified Landscape Ecologist Professor to join our esteemed Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Landscape Planning at Universität Kassel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in the field of landscape ecology. This is a full-time W2 professorship with a competitive salary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in landscape ecology, including lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions.
- Conducting research in landscape ecology, including data collection, analysis, and publication.
- Mentoring students and supervising their thesis projects.
- Participating in academic service activities, such as departmental meetings and university committees.
Requirements:
- A doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, ecology, or biology.
- A strong research background in landscape ecology, demonstrated by publications and presentations.
- Excellent teaching skills, with experience in developing and delivering curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, and external partners.
