We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Educational Officer in Museum Education to join our team at the House of Democracy Salmen in Offenburg. This is a part-time position (19.5 hours/week) that offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our citizens.
About the Role
- Develop and implement democratic and didactic concepts for Salmen, focusing on the development of new target groups and their networking
- Coordinate museum educational courses, city tours, and themed tours, ensuring a high level of quality and engagement
- Create educational materials that inspire and educate our audience
- Provide professional and pedagogical training to external museum educators, promoting excellence in museum education
- Establish partnerships with schools and other educational institutions, developing innovative mediation formats
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a museum-related field, humanities, political science, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in pedagogical and scientific work, with a customer-oriented approach
- Excellent language skills in English, with proficiency in French an asset
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, with a focus on results
