Senior Payroll Financial Controller

Job Description:

At Freudenberg, we are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Financial Controller to join our team. This role is a critical component of our financial operations and will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and process monthly payroll for a defined group of employees, including batch processing of test and live payroll runs, as well as preparatory and follow-up work.
  • Oversee the maintenance, checking, and archiving of payroll-relevant personnel data, as well as batch imports of transaction data using our software.
  • Prepare, implement, and monitor payroll accounting and certification/reporting systems to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on tax and social security matters, ensuring accurate and timely compliance.
  • Correspond independently with public authorities, social security institutions, and tax authorities to address any queries or issues.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage company pension schemes and provide support in time management and access control.
  • Participate in task-specific project activities to drive business growth and improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of commercial training, preferably with further education in human resources or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience in payroll accounting within an industrial setting, with a strong understanding of relevant tax and social security laws.
  • Excellent knowledge of PAISY payroll software and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in German (C1 level) and excellent English language skills.
Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of approximately €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
