Job Title: Vice President Supply Chain Operations

About the Role:

The Vice President of Supply Chain Operations will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals and objectives. This executive role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in supply chain management within the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a supply chain strategy that drives operational efficiency, enhances customer satisfaction, and supports the company's growth objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions across the supply chain, utilizing best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in the supply chain.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance and make informed decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and commercial teams to ensure alignment and support for product launches and market demands.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other quality assurance protocols.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability initiatives within the supply chain to minimize environmental impact and promote corporate social responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale supply chain operations and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Experience with supply chain software and tools, including ERP systems and data analytics platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
