Postdoctoral Researcher in Systems Genetics and Precision Medicine

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a project and develop innovative solutions to complex scientific problems in systems genetics and precision health.
- Design and execute experiments in vitro and/or in vivo, including iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and cardiac organoids.
- Develop and perform pooled functional genomic screens in complex disease model systems and characterize hits from those screens.
- Generate single-cell and spatial omics datasets across modalities to gain insights into disease and drug mechanisms.
- Maintain partnerships with academic and industry collaborators and leverage the unique capacities of the EMBL core facilities.
- Present research findings internally and at international conferences.
Requirements
- PhD in biological sciences with extensive hands-on experience in cellular, biochemical, and cell biological assays.
- Experience in genome editing tools, single-cell technologies, and iPSC-model systems.
- Ability to lead a project, plan ahead, and use resources efficiently.
- Excellent English communication and writing skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in data analysis using R, Python, and command line tools.
- Knowledge of different drug modalities, delivery tools, and intracellular trafficking mechanisms.
