Job Title: Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at G+H Schallschutz GmbH in Mannheim, Germany. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our steel constructions and components, fabricated by our business partners worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Explain G+H drawings, specifications, and bill of materials to fabricators and support them in interpreting requirements.
  • Advise fabricators on production scheduling and respond to technical questions about drawings or design.
  • Review qualification of fabricators, including WPS, PQR, welders qualifications, shop qualifications, and NDT personnel qualifications.
  • Review material certificates and conduct in-progress inspections, including welding seam, dimensional, and painting checks.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company EHS policies and procedures.
  • Identify and propose improvements in process, tools, system solutions, and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a reputable college or degree apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in working in metal fabrication shops.
  • Knowledge and application of international codes and standards in steel fabrication.
  • Analytical and innovative approach in problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Basic skills in German.
