About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Financial Manager to lead our Finance team at Hereon. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial management and control of our organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 6 finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes.
- Organize and coordinate the day-to-day financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, including the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the GoBD.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Implement and maintain financial systems, including SAP S/4HANA, to ensure efficient financial processes.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a research institution or university.
- Proven track record of financial management and leadership experience.
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, including HGB and GoBD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, including SAP FI and CO.
