Senior Technical Service Technologist, Plant-based Protein Expert

Job Summary:
The Senior Technical Service Technologist - Plant-based Proteins is a key member of our technical team, responsible for providing exceptional technical customer experience and driving innovation in plant-based protein solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of protein functionality, food processing, and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise to customers, including formulation and process development, to meet business growth targets.
- Conduct application trials, work with customers to develop innovative solutions, and utilize customer feedback to drive product development.
- Diagnose problems, apply food technology knowledge, and provide recommendations to customers.
- Organize visits to customers and/or visits from customers to the Ingredion Idea Labs, plan trials, meetings, and venue, and ensure a deep understanding of customer needs.
- Record and share relevant customer activities and project updates in the customer relationship management system.
Requirements:
- Degree in Food Technology or Food Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Excellent knowledge of proteins, with a strong focus on plant-based proteins, including functional and flavor interactions, and food processing.
- Strong experience in Technical Service, New Product Development, Research & Development, or Applications teams in specialty food ingredients.
- History of successful projects delivering product innovation.
- Advanced understanding of equipment and technologies for laboratory and pilot plant trials.
- Fluent in English (verbal and writing).
- Ability to travel within the region up to 40% of working time.
Desirable:
- Additional European language.
- Proven track record of working in a technical customer supporting role in the food ingredients industry.
