About the Job

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Mechatronics Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for robots. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for component selection, electrical integration of sensors and payloads, and developing and testing prototypes to optimize system performance and transition to production.

Our portfolio company, a German dual-use technology firm, develops unmanned ground vehicles to drive automation in both governmental and civilian use cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define requirements and design electrical systems for the overall system design and development of unmanned ground vehicles
  • Select and qualify components as part of component and supplier qualification
  • Implement electrical integration for sensors and payloads within our systems
  • Build and test prototypes to ensure validation during the prototype development and testing phase
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and systems teams for seamless integration and development
  • Create and maintain technical documentation while assisting with necessary certifications
Your Profile
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in mechatronics or electrical engineering, preferably within robotics
  • Strong expertise in electrical system design and component qualification
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems both independently and within teams
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Please note that we are looking for support in the Munich office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required.
