Scientific Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scientific Manager to join our team at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with the Director to assist with the general management of the department and other managerial tasks. This will include representing the Director in both internal and external communications, participating in organizing departmental activities and initiatives, and preparing scientific documents and presentations to support research efforts.
Responsibilities- Assist the Director with departmental management and other managerial tasks
- Represent the Director in internal and external communications
- Participate in organizing departmental activities and initiatives
- Prepare scientific documents and presentations to support research efforts
- Develop and implement a social media strategy and maintain our Twitter/X account and other platforms
- Create and update content for the departmental website
- PhD degree in natural sciences or medicine
- Proficiency in both English and German
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with social media management and content creation is a plus
