Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Line Engineer to join our team at Plastic Omnium. As a key member of our acquisition phase team, you will be responsible for managing the technical content of our product lines and providing support in technical choices during the development phase.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage OEM and internal technical interfaces to collect and analyze customer needs, and obtain and coordinate technical inputs from internal expertise fields.
  • Challenge product conception and identify opportunities to introduce innovative solutions.
  • Ensure the application of PO-internal standards and best practice solutions.
  • Generate the bill of material for the quotation file and build the technical file summarizing all relevant product assumptions.
  • Present technical files internally and to customers.
  • Provide technical support and analysis in the development phase and follow Optimap project management procedures.
  • Support product concept maturation and extract design standards to complete design guidelines for future projects.
  • Participate in Product Lines deployments and consolidation.
Requirements
  • University degree in mechanical, plastics, or vehicle engineering field.
  • German language proficiency (native or advanced level) and advanced English level.
  • First experience with plastic parts design or processes.
  • First experience in one of the fields: injection molding, 3D part design, material validation.
  • Ability to work in an intercultural environment.
  • Driving License Class B and willingness to travel.
