Product Design Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Director to join our team in Berlin. This role will play a crucial part in shaping and evolving our design system, ensuring a cohesive user experience across our Rider apps.
About the JobIn this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams of designers and engineers to champion and implement design system best practices. Your expertise will drive the evolution of our design system, promoting its adoption across the organization.
Responsibilities- Design system leadership: Share ownership of our design system and ensure its adoption across the organization.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide guidance, and ensure design consistency.
- Component design: Create and maintain high-quality, reusable design components that adhere to our design principles and accessibility standards.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive design system documentation.
- Evangelize and educate: Advocate for the design system, educate teams on its benefits, and provide training as needed.
- User-centric approach: Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design system decisions.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on design systems.
- A portfolio demonstrating your design system expertise and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of design principles, UI patterns, and accessibility standards.
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or equivalent.
