Safety and Compliance Specialist

We invite you to become a part of our team as a Safety and Compliance Specialist within our Last Mile Operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a secure working environment for our logistics personnel across various locations. The position will require frequent travel to different sites, which will constitute a significant aspect of your responsibilities.

We seek individuals who are dedicated to promoting workplace safety and possess a customer-focused mindset. Your responsibilities will include identifying and executing safety enhancements, collaborating with various departments, and reporting directly to the Regional Safety and Compliance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist site leaders in adhering to occupational safety standards.
- Perform comprehensive risk evaluations.
- Aid in the execution of health and safety strategies.
- Create operational guidelines and training resources.
- Provide guidance to staff and management regarding occupational safety.
- Ensure adherence to legal and internal safety protocols.
- Work in conjunction with logistics teams and support services.
- Oversee safety measures across multiple locations in the region.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification as an occupational safety expert or similar qualification.
- Prior experience in safety management and team leadership.
- Proficient in English.
- Strong attention to detail and dependability.
- Competent in MS Office applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Additional certifications in areas such as Waste Management or Fire Safety.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
- Experience in leading project teams.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
