Embedded Software Engineer - Physical Layer

This leading developer of wireless communications systems is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer - Physical Layer to join their high-calibre team based in Dresden.

The Embedded Software Engineer - Physical Layer will be responsible for developing and implementing cellular Layer 1 control software, firmware, and PHY algorithms aimed at 5G NR and emerging technologies.

This role will involve working on cutting-edge wireless technologies, leveraging expertise in embedded software and firmware development in C and C++.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing cellular Layer 1 control software, firmware, and PHY algorithms
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop wireless communications systems
  • Ensuring compliance with 3GPP specifications and industry standards
  • Implementing digital communication algorithms on DSP architectures

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of post-graduate experience in embedded software and firmware development, with a strong understanding of 5G NR physical layer development.

Additionally, knowledge of 3GPP specifications and experience with implementing digital communication algorithms on DSP architectures are highly desirable.
