Project Manager External Production Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager External Production to join our Electronics Planning department at our Ulm site. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the transfer process of internally produced orders to external manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a standardized changeover process from in-house to external production
  • Ensure a smooth process between production, purchasing, development, and project departments
  • Define and procure all necessary requirements for external commissioning
  • Monitor and report on the progress of individual conversions and stakeholder management
  • Identify optimization potential in the procurement process and implement corresponding measures
  • Communicate with external partners and suppliers to ensure quality and adherence to deadlines
  • Support in the selection of suitable suppliers and service providers
  • Prepare and initiate make-or-buy decisions

Requirements

  • Completed studies in industrial engineering, business administration, or similar
  • Several years of professional experience in production control, purchasing, or comparable positions
  • Experience in planning and managing external service providers and suppliers
  • Knowledge of materials management and purchasing
  • Knowledge of the production process for printed circuit boards is advantageous
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High assertiveness
  • Business fluent in German and English
