About the Role

At PolyTALENT GmbH, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Toolmaking Manager / Operations Manager to lead our Mold Making department. This is a direct permanent position in an environment with flat hierarchies, short decision-making processes, and a family-like atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the Mold Making department, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Monitor and optimize internal processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Accountable for deadlines and budgets in tool manufacturing and repairs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with other facilities to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Develop and implement strategic and operational plans in the tooling field, driving business growth and success.
  • Lead customer projects, providing exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Involved in personnel and employee matters, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct information sessions and departmental meetings, keeping team members informed and engaged.
  • Point of contact for internal and external interfaces, resolving conflicts and ensuring smooth communication.
  • Monthly safety inspections and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Plan and monitor repairs, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution.
  • Resource allocation management, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards, ensuring high-quality products and services.
  • Regular reporting to management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Compliance with laws and regulations, ensuring the company's reputation and integrity.
Requirements
  • Completed training as a Tool Mechanic specializing in mold making, with additional training as a master craftsman or technician, or equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of professional and managerial experience in a similar position in the field of mold making and plastic injection molding.
  • Experience in calculating tool modifications and production tools.
  • Thorough knowledge in the field of tool technology for technical injection-molded parts.
  • Proficient in MS-Office and specialized software in mold making.
  • Convincing and team-oriented leadership with a hands-on attitude and social skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, structured work approach, and situational willingness to travel.
