Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Global Trade Execution Specialist. This role will be responsible for handling the day-to-day activities related to Cotton Container Execution from Brazil and the US to several destination markets worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Trading/Commercial Department regarding contractual terms such as Incoterms, documents required, payments, shipment, costs, discounts, etc.
  • Obtain and register necessary information to process Letters of Credit and related financial transactions.
  • Evaluate credit data to ensure adherence to internal requirements and bank policies.
  • Analyze Letters of Credit and commodity contracts to match terms.
  • Prepare and send Documentary and Shipment Instructions to suppliers, establishing necessary steps and requirements for each shipment.
  • Register shipping information and related data in controls/systems.
  • Analyze, prepare, and negotiate clean documents under corresponding Letter of Credit or other contractual payment terms.
  • Support colleagues on Letter of Credit terms and conditions to ensure compliance with standard banking practices.
  • Handle document presentation, follow-up with banks, and analyze/discuss discrepancies raised and record corresponding utilization of respective Letter of Credit.
  • Coordinate with the execution team and banks to adhere to Letter of Credit timelines.
  • Handle incoming queries and communications from internal colleagues and external clients.
  • Prepare reports on shipments, document negotiations, and other related activities.
  • Support other areas of the company, such as Finance, Controlling, Accounting, and Auditing, with information.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Deep understanding of shipping documentation and negotiation (CAD, L/C)
  • Knowledge of ELCY system desirable
  • Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) desirable
